i-Telcom’s vehicle tracking system, Autotrac, uses the Global Positioning System (GPS), a satellite navigation system that provides precise position, speed, heading and time information.

This system is used by marine vessels, land vehicles and aircraft.

With the dramatic increase in vehicle thefts and hijacking and the need for comprehensive fleet management, Autotrac’s vehicle management system is based on both its own trunked radio network and the cellular networks currently in operation.

This total approach addresses fundamental requirements:
To contact any fleet vehicle for a position report at any time
To allow the driver to send silent distress signals
To communicate directly with the driver
To create an extensive fleet management capability
To deliver primary system operation independent of the driver.
